The Rutilated quartz is a variety of quartz with needle like inclusion of rutile, a titanium dioxide mineral. This particular one reminded us of the sun.
 
The chain is a 14K solid Gold adjustable cable chain.
 
This stone was found at the Tucson Gem Show from a Brazilian gem dealer.
