Note: Gold Filled is not solid gold but a very well made product. Gold filled findings have layers of actual 14k gold over sterling silver not just a plating. It truly lasts a very long time. I've personally tested them and the layers of gold have not worn off. Vermile is a less expensive way to plate in gold tone. It's not actual gold over the metal. Vermile doesn't last very long.
